Review of Shall We Dance? (2004) by Jerry K — 14 Mar 2012
This Americanized version of a popular Japanese film is just plain fun. For those of us who would watch Richard Gere and Susan Sarandon.... not to mention Jennifer Lopez and Stanley Tucci, do just about anything, this film is just perfect.
If you are looking for profound messages and subtexts, fancy cinematic angles and cross cutting, -- in the words of Tony Soprano, fuggetaboutit! Just sit back, smile, enjoy yourself and have a good time.
This film will not disappoint.
