Review of Shakespeare in Love (1998) by Hannah S — 11 Jul 2009

What a wonderful movie. Very romantic and I highly enjoyed both Gwyneth and Joseph's performances. I also loved how Will and Viola's encounters inspired Romeo and Juliet as well as most of Shakespeare's plays/heroines.

The only flaw I found however was how sad it was at the very end. It was probably the only true end but still the romantic in me wished their was a happy ending for Will and Viola.

The wardrobe design and cinematography was beautiful. The editing was fascinating and transitions from scene to scene was flawless.

Any one can find something in this film. I highly recommend it!
