Review of Shakespeare in Love (1998) by Coxxie M — 27 Jan 2012
I think my biggest criticism of this is that it gets a bit too stereotypically lovey-dovey in places, and Gwyneth Paltrow is a bit irritating. It's the secondary characters who really bring the film to life, and it's actually as much of a comedy as it is a drama - a worthy tribute to Shakespeare, I believe, and it doesn't have a fairytale ending either.
Of course, the costumes are delicious.
