Review of Shaft (1971) by Andrew P — 13 Oct 2007
This was my first venture into the blaxploitation genre, and I have to say that I was smiling the whole way through. I enjoyed the crap out of Shaft! Gordon Parks truly was a brilliant director, and Richard Roundtree was perfect as the bad mutha that is John Shaft.
Top it off with a funky soundtrack by Isaac Hayes and what we have here is pure film history. 5 out of 5.
