Review of Shaft (1971) by Jerome M — 28 Nov 2007
The first famous movie of the so called "Blaxpoitation" (popular movies made by African Americans in the 1970s). Basically, it's the classic detective story but characters and atmospheres are very intriguing. Sharp dialogues and good action scenes. Great soundtrack by Isaac Hayes.
Unfortunately women have not an active role in this film (euphemism)...
