Review of Shaft (1971) by Ray G — 08 Aug 2013
A classic of the blaxploitation era and an an interesting insight into the themes and stereotypes of the early 70s, particularly in regards to race and sexuality. The remake didn't really do it justice - likely because the characterisations struggle to transfer into a 21st century setting.
definitely worth watching if you can remember the time it's set in.
