Review of Shadow of the Vampire (2000) by Alex V — 01 Dec 2009

Movies about the making of movies are always fun, this one more so because it has vampires and Willem Dafoe in a terrific performance. It also captures the essence of the original Nosferatu while adapting it for its own purposes, which is no easy feat.

Also, John Malcovich and Cary Elwes always add a lot to whatever they're in, and this is no exception. It may not be the best movie about making movies, or about vampires, but it's clever and fun, and worth viewing.
