Review of Shadow of a Doubt (1943) by Lorenzo V — 14 Oct 2009
Alfred Hitchcock often said that this was his personal favorite of his films. I wouldn't go that far, after all, the film does have its flaws. The structure of the film is its best asset. The story concerns a man who visits his family, running from a secret.
The unfolding of that secret and the actions after the reveal are fantastic. However, the characters are a bit typical and some of the story elements aren't as good as they should have been, but it it still a good suspense film.
