Review of Shadow of a Doubt (1943) by Robyn M — 17 Feb 2010
The best of Alfred Hitchcock!
Shadow of a doubt is dark, gritty, clever and one of the best crime films you'll ever feast eyes on. Although it's from another generation and in B&W It still holds that heart pounding fear your crave. Hitchcock gave us the murderer and his intensions, but created a story in which we feared how the crime would unfold. Now a days directors steal it's formula and destroy the suspense with gore and bloodshead. This film is a perfect tribute to how scary can be classy.
