Review of Shadow of a Doubt (1943) by Mark W — 08 May 2011
Many people say this movie is Hitchcock's first masterpiece. I think this is a little exaggerated. "Sabotage" springs to mind as being a masterpiece that is earlier than this movie. But this movie *is* a masterpiece and no doubt about it, and Hitchcock was certainly more consistently brilliant in the films after this one.
Definitely a great movie.
