Review of Shadow Dancer (2012) by Richard H — 03 Jun 2013
An IRA thriller with deft cinematography and a potent story backdrop, but it ultimately fails to grasp the viewer's full attention. Overtly somber in tone, the film feels melancholic rather than pulsing, which certainly detracts from the film's more intense scenes.
Also, some story sequences within are rather sketchy, which can make the film difficult to follow. Solid acting though, even if I feel these characters could have used a bit more to them.
