Review of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (1978) by Gabriella P — 25 Jan 2012
A band wrangles with the music industry and battle tycoon B.D. Brockhurst, who's bent on stealing their instruments and corrupting their hometown of Heartland. Two of the biggest music stars of the '70s make their fine appearances in this fantastical musical adventure.
Here in 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' Peter Frampton and The Bee Gees cover songs of The Beatles' late '60s musical era with dialogue carrying on with the story and George Burns having spoken lines that clarify the story's plot.
Being a Beatles listener myself I'm glad that I watched this film. And while it was never a hit at least I liked 'Sgt. Pepper' just for the music.
