Review of Sexy Beast (2001) by Paul P — 26 Oct 2009
Ben Kingsley is on another planet. His physical demeanor doesn't scare you, the fact that he is truly mad does. He has nothing to lose and therefore he's fearless. Every second he's on the screen is like that "How am I funny?" scene in 'Goodfellas' with Pesci.
It has a bunch of interesting characters and good dialogue. Ray Winstone is perfection. Ian McShane has few words but his presence on the screen is very powerful. 'Sexy Beast' sadly comes in at a very fast paced 88 minutes, I wish it were an even 2 hours.
