If there were ratings higher than "10," this film would deserve it. Sexy Beast is one of those "this one goes up to 11" type of films. The writing is so strong -- just so freaking STRONG -- it completely blew my mind while I was watching it, and for a moment, despite all the Twilight and Bride Wars garbage that clogs the mainstream, reminded me what true "cinema" really is.
The performances are outstanding, and the atmosphere is a perfect combination of quiet and bizarre. This is definitely a film I will watch again and again. I'm surprised it took me this long to see it.
