Review of Sexy Beast (2001) by Alankar S — 09 May 2009
Ben Kingsley is on the brink of frothing at the mouth in this one, and he proves with animalistic gusto that he is still an acting force to pay attention to. His performance is merely the centerpiece, however, of a tightly-wound machine of a highly entertaining and (very) British gangster thriller.
It's short, sweet, and yes, quite sexy... though not in the way one would expect.
