Review of sex, lies, and videotape (1989) by Nell H — 18 May 2008

I'm reading Biskind's _Down and Dirty Pictures_ right now and learning about how this movie created such a huge stir at Sundance and helped save the festival, etc. Watching it nearly twenty years after its release, I can't quite tap into the extremely shocking power it seemed to have at the time, but I really enjoyed the film as it is--even by today's standards.
