Review of sex, lies, and videotape (1989) by Itamar K — 30 Aug 2009
A strong character-driven drama, with a fantastic, sharp script and incredible performances all around - Spader and MacDowell both give the performance of a career here. It's truly a landmark for independent cinema, made all the more powerful by the fact, looking quite odd nowadays, that there's hardly any sex or nudity actually in it.
