Where to start?

As a fan of the original books I was part disappointed part angry about this movie. Jeff Bridges was by far an excellent choice though I would've liked to see David Tennant as Tom Ward. The whole scenery is very far from what was given by the books. The witches suddenly live in old ruins on top of a mountain, the spooks "house" is now a cave filled with weapons, he also got a sidekick with a huge Butterknife which he never uses. Tom is way older than he should be and it wasn't him who freed mother Malkin. No, she just escaped her prison after 10 years because "time made her stronger". The movie could've been so much better, but was ruined due to the limited run-time, bad script, the urge to NOT follow the original story and the inclusion of more witches than you can imagine. Fun fact, males can be witches now, too. Also every witch is a dragon now. There was ONE scene I woul've liked them to include in the movie and that's the ghost house from the first book. They kind of iincluded this as Tom Wards first task, but in the form of a sparkly shiny skeleton with a broken armor. Not cool. You don't take one of the best chapters in a book and turn it into an old dusty pile of scrap metal. To be honest, I wouldn't have so many problems with this movie if the dialogue wasn't as bad as it is and if the outfits of almost all the characters were not a big show-off. They should've made this into a depressing gritty movie. That way Jeff Bridges could've unfold all of his potential. In the end Seventh Son is a half baked Fantasy-Action Movie with an easy to follow Story and a bunch of unlikeable and unrelatable Characters. What a shame.
