Standard story of good guy vs bad guy, similar to the story of seven samurai, the village is haunted by an evil army that kills anyone in their way, and hires strong swordsmen to protect them. Hark Tsui is no doubt the greatest HK action director, and his technique for fight sequences are very well done, but in the end it doesn't seperate iself from just what it is, an HK action movie.
you get everything you expect, blood, cool fights, and terrible story. well worth the time if you're into action flicks, but dont expect much more from it though.
