Review of Seven Swords (2005) by Thérèse F — 24 May 2008
An excellent wushu-swordplay epic out of HK. Between... oh, 1986 and 1996 or so it seemed there were hundreds of these kinds of movies, and they of course had their similarities. But this film brought out a lot of their best qualities, such as the cool weapons and the crazy violence.
It brings a more polished look to some of those older films that looked like they were all shot on cheap film.
