The Great Akira Kurosawa's "Seven Samurai" is worthy of the title Cinematic Masterpiece. It is epic in proportion, but actually very simple.
This a story of older generation passing a tradition on to a younger one. It all ties to the themes of "tradition" "honor" and "duty" -- and it is as influential as enjoyable.
A must see.
