Review of Seven Samurai (1954) by Kurt M — 10 Jul 2011
The seemingly simple story of seven samurai hired to protect a peasant village. Funny thing is, the story becomes complex, and lets us care for all of the characters, and builds up the story. In fact, the story's complexity makes me imagine that this movie could not be one second shorter than the three and a half hour run time.
A true masterpiece, hands down!
