Review of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (1954) by Carol D — 11 Feb 2008
I heartily recommend anyone who loves this movie to by the re-release on DVD, and watch the special features! The "making of" featurette is worth it, as you get to see some of the "Brides" and "Brothers" as they are today! Howard Keel hosts, and his voice still gives me goose bumps! I love this movie and everything about it.
Always have, always will. My favorite scene is when Gideon is trying to coax his "bride" out of the house, and then is told to "hurry up". "Sounds like Pansy has the croupe" gets me giggling every time.
Also my fav brother is Benjamin. Whatta hunk! Also love "catwoman" before she was catwoman!
