Review of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (1954) by Michael M — 08 Jan 2018
I can't help but think that even for its day the audience had to go "Damn Adam, that's to far". Even with the skewed gender relations this musical celebrates what is best in life: boy meets girl seven times over with fantastic song and dance.
Keep an eye out for Julie Newmar in a relatively small early role exuding her signature sensuality. Best movie with a mass kidnapping set in the American frontier, bar none.
