Even though the gods at MGM at the time did not see the potential and did this movie on the disgraceful cheap, the performing is magnificent. Although I am eternally grateful that the movie was made, I am dismayed that they were unwilling to give this cast and story the full treatment they deserved.
What a ride it could have been!
