Review of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (1954) by Lisa S — 07 Apr 2017
MGM's surprise smash hit has taken a place in Hollywood musical history as one of the top musicals. This rambunctious, slightly risque film features fines roles for Keel and Powell, showcases the dancers well with two nice musical numbers ("Lonesome Polecat" and "June Bride") and - with its inclusion of the "Barn Raising" production number - has cemented its reputation as one of the best examples of dance on film.
A delightful experience from beginning to end.
