Interesting characters? check. great performances? check. spooky location? check. a story worth a damn? um...have to leave that one blank. the ending of this movie is so damn cheap and easy and casts everything that occurs before it as completely moot and pointless foreplay.
..as with the machinist, brad anderson gets great work from his actors, establishes an intriguing story, and directs with moody foreboding but fails to deliver a coherent, structured narrative...
