Serpico is not just a great film, it's a classic. Al Pacino's performance, although recognised is underated in comparisons to such roles as in The Godfather or Dog Day Afternoon, but It could even be better.
The story is gritty, incredibly well written and powerfully acted. Serpico is often considered among the greatest films of all-time, and for good reason, it's fantastic.
