Review of Serpico (1973) by Adam W — 29 Jan 2009
Yet another of those 70s films that just feels great to watch. Pacino really sinks his teeth into the role of someone who is alternatingly sympathetic and annoying. At times you wish he'd just get off his high-horse, beat a suspect and take a pay-off.
Still, in sticking to his guns you do come around to his frustrations at being outcast for simply being a police officer who doesn't want to willfully break the law.
