Review of Serpico (1973) by Justin V — 29 Jul 2010
An Important and original look on Police Corruption with a fantastic story and well developed characters. Al Pacino plays Serpico greatly being from a likable honest cop to a dark frustrated officer who in the end feel his pain and love him.
The story is well told, does drag from time to time but hits all the character development parts and plot points. The music is alright but does have the cop kind of music. The lighting, colors and cinematography are all very good as well.
I liked this movie overall and enjoyed watching how Serpico had to deal with crime and the corrupted police in his time with this great film.
