Review of Serpico (1973) by Lily J — 09 Apr 2011
Just watched this last night. It might take modern viewers a while to get used to the choppy 70s verite style, but a solidly great drama about an honest cop who finds himself isolated due to the systemic and internalized corruption that officials have chosen to keep permanently under the rug.
Must see from the recently departed director Sidney Lumet.
