Review of Serpico (1973) by María A — 16 Feb 2012
Loosely based on a true story, the titular character of Sidney Lumet's Serpico is an honest cop who refuses to let his corrupt peers scare him into compromising his personal integrity. Al Pacino gives one of his better-known performances as the eccentric yet stout-hearted lead.
While the plot does drift around a bit in the middle, Pacino keeps the viewer interested in the fate of his character.
