Review of Serial Mom (1994) by Matt D — 28 Mar 2008
When Waters started getting bigger budgets it seems like he started focussing less on shocking humour and much more on biting satire. Though still full of shlocky slapstick the way only Waters can do it, it's got much more social commentary then some of his earlier films.
I still like the older stuff better though, but this was a really gratifying film. Kathleen Turner was a perfect choice for this one.
