John Waters doing his shtick - unfortunately with diminishingly rewarding results. Kathleen Turner, murdering her neighbours for tiny transgressions of taste, like a picket fence Travis Bickle should be ninety minutes of delirious bad taste, but it's all too flabby and wanly performed and doesn't go anywhere.
Sam Waterston is wasted, Ricki Lake too, and Turner is poorly directed. A movie that has dated badly.
