Review of Serial Mom (1994) by Mark N — 12 Aug 2012
Before I discovered the genius early period of Waters I had previously dismissed Serial Mom as just another limp-wristed Kathleen Turner movie.. so I was interested to see what I thought with my new appreciation.
So it's certainly a more professional studio movie than Waters had previously turned in but he still slips in some of his irreverently perverse skews and social commentary in a way Kevin Smith can only dream of. Certainly John Waters lite.. but Waters none the less.
