Despite the fact that I had never watched an episode of Firefly before this, I still enjoyed the heck out of it. With a great story, a sharply written script, and an awesome cast, Serenity is just a plain good time.
Also of note: River is a complete badass, and her fight scenes are my new guilty pleasure to watch - yes, they are that good.
