Review of Seraphim Falls (2007) by Rizwaan K — 03 Sep 2007
Despite getting off to a promising start, this film suffers from several drawbacks. It feels like a very long picture, but in fact it clocks in at just under two hours. Herein lies the problem, not enough action and meaningless wandering around, although the scenery is fantastic.
Liam Neeson and Pierce Brosnan as a duo are superb, but the script suffers in the latter half of the movie. The same goes for the overall performance of the whole picture, the first hour holds well, but the viewer's interest will wane in the final 40 minutes of the film.
Especially when Anjelica Huston makes an appearance in a gypsy wagon in the middle of a desert! Exactly. Wait untill this arrives on DVD rental release before viewing.
