Review of Seraphim Falls (2007) by Matt M — 25 Dec 2013
A Civil War colonel, at the end of the war, goes after a man with whom he has a grudge. Von Ancken takes the chase movie to the western in its most modern and pure incarnation, by giving less attention to the dialogue and more attention to the chase itself.
This experiment is at first intriguing but becomes shallow as it struggles to keep up appearences for its whole feature length.
