Review of Seraphim Falls (2007) by Tristan F — 22 Feb 2008
Begins well as a western version of Rambo: First Blood with a war veteran with a big fuck-off knife being hunted in the woods. Everyone talks with a hoarse voice, following the lead of supporting player Michael Wincott's gravelly voice.
However, the pursuit becomes pondering and finally tiresome in the pseudo-spiritual, predictably "profound" message about brotherhood. Kudos though for the scene in the snowy forrest where Pierce Brosnan slices a fat guy's belly so he can warm his hands within his guts.
