Review of Seraphim Falls (2007) by Aidan H — 01 May 2010
A stripped-to-the-bone western with Irishmen Neeson and Brosnan on a quest for vengeance and redemption blah blah. Rugged locations and implausible cameos notwithstanding, SF takes an interminable time to tell its simplistic story with little in the way of character development or colorful dialogue to sweeten the chase.
I'm sure it all sounded epic and Josie Welsh on paper but neither actor can muster enough belief in the script to prop it up sufficiently. 1 star for the backdrops but bed without supper for the writer(s).
