Review of Seraphim Falls (2007) by Nick A — 28 Sep 2010

A very old school styled western with a modern style on it, much like "The quick and the Dead". However this is a better film. The characters are very interesting, played perfectly by Neeson and Bronsan, most would not associate them with westerns, but they actually are very convincing and they look enough like people from that time.

The opening scene of the film drew me in right away, and the first maybe ten minutes is some of the most thrilling footage in modern cinema. This can easily be ranked in the great westerns list. The cinematography is also very good, its an interesting tale all around with a lot of great elements.
