Review of September Dawn (2007) by Thomas M — 06 Feb 2008
So yeah, watching the slaughter of innocent people is terrible (except for tim burton). little big man or gandhi proved it effectively enough. but if the whole point of the movie is to get there, it becomes unjustly manipulative.
especially if everyone in the movie acts like shit, starting with the lead romantic couple. admitedly, trent ford's lips are the most sensual thing around since ashton kutcher's (aaaaah his way to tame the horse, i'll let him ride my stalion anytime), but that can't counterbalance such a level of bad acting.
trent, just do porn and lets call it a day. apart from that it's good to be reminded what shits mormon leaders have been, especially with the upcoming election, and how christian fanatism can be as gruesome as any other.
so I guess there was some kind of a political intention behind all this. too bad it misses the mark to such an extent.
