Review of Sense and Sensibility (1995) by Sylvia S — 16 Aug 2009
With very little to moan about, this is a sophisticated adaptation of Austen's ubiquitous novel that is a cut above other period curtsies. Handsomely mounted by Ang Lee, and that five-year's worth of screenplay toil by Emma Thompson and an Oscar later is very much deserved.
RATING: A-.
