Review of Sense and Sensibility (1995) by Trent J — 03 Sep 2009
An affable picture, despite Ang Lee's penchant for furiously passive protagonists - a well he would dip in again in Hulk and Taking Woodstock, at least. This is a rare instance where the majority of the praise goes to the actors, who bring substance to boring personalities and make a 140 minute commentary on social status bearable.
