Review of Sense and Sensibility (1995) by Tim O — 12 Apr 2010
Jan Austen's characters--the heroines, the scoundrels and the self-absorbed dolts who circulate between them--are so rich that it's hard to make a bad film out of one of her stories. This is the best, though, thanks to Emma Thompson's screenplay and her performance.
