Review of Sense and Sensibility (1995) by George B — 03 May 2010
Most people would say it's an Emma Thompson film which is very true. But after Ang Lee's masterful transformation, some might even change their minds and say it's absolutely an Ang Lee film after all these years.
The filmmaker had shown us how courageous and insightful a filmmaker can be with this one which, I've never doubted, is one of Lee's masterpieces. He also definitely made Thompson look younger and shaped one of the best actresses of our time, Kate Winslet.
