Review of Sense and Sensibility (1995) by Carol H — 27 Nov 2012
Just as fresh as it was when I was a kid and watched it with my mom, dad and sister. It's witty, it has some solid acting (even I wouldn't call any of the performances brilliant!), an absolutely brilliant script (that transforms a great novel into a great movie experience, without sacrificing what makes the book so great and without compromising the cinematic aspect of the whole thing).
It's a film I could watch again and again and it's always a pleasure. This film has so much elegance and wit and it has beautiful music and characters I cared about. Old-fashioned storytelling cinema at its best.
