Review of Sense and Sensibility (1995) by Dan F — 28 Jan 2013
Classic! Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility have shown another proof of her enduring intelligence about passion, desire and love. I love the story of unending dealings with man, wealth, status and the exact opposite of it.
The movie gave justice to Austen's work. The scenes were almost perfect with great actors and actresses especially I admire Kate Winslet's versatility in giving life to the character of Marianne.
Certainly, there are a lot of memorable quotes but this quote is the most striking to me cause it tells the theme of almost all love stories:
"Love is not love which alters when it alteration finds. Or bends with the remover to remove. Oh no! It is an ever fixed mark that looks on tempests and is never shaken.".
