Review of Senna (2010) by Kenneth N — 03 Nov 2011
I was never a big racing fan besides Mario Kart. But I remember when Ayrton Senna died. The news was much more than racing, and if you remember, his name was known way outside the world of racing. For the first time, the Senna family authorized a documentary about his racing career with home movies, rare interviews, and Formula 1 footage.
It's not a traditional documentary with lots of talking heads (unless you watch the extended version, which I don't recommend), and it does not go into childhood or his family. It's a movie about the man and the myth, racing and rivalry.
Even if you're not a fan or even interested in racing, it will still be highly enjoyable.
