Review of Senna (2010) by J.j. W — 10 May 2012
"Documentaries are an argument". Senna does not hide its motivation. It doesn't manipulate statistics or footage but it does, almost shamelessly, paint Prost as an absolute snake who is bent on manipulating the system in order to put down his fellow competitors.
Maybe he is, but the sheer hero worship of Senna can get a little uncomfortable to watch at times. Still, regardless, Senna and Prost were both legendary drivers and the film masterfully brings you along an emotional ride throughout Senna's career.
Maybe one day we can have a movie that does that without the obvious bias.
